A Decade of Data Science Research

Petabytes of data within global computerized systems, millions of data transactions every minute and all made possible by the two states of the binary language. Zero and One, simple yet elegant and capable of conveying a simple text message or the latest blockbuster movie.

A sequence of few ones and zeros cannot provide much in terms of data value, maybe one letter of the alphabet or a number from 0 to 9. But each small sequence used in different ways can provide tools for the management and manipulation of all digital information, it is this area of data science that the engineering team of iPEFX has focused its efforts on.

Within any large sample of binary data definable sequences are surrounded by chaos, we refer to that as conformity within noise. Subsets of those sequences have value relevant to the sample being examined, and carry a relationship to other sequences nearby. Our research led to the development of a series of tools that manipulate frequency, range and median values within samples of varying length.

Those manipulated sequences and their relevancy to the sample group in which they are located have application in many areas of information technology, particularly within areas of accessibility and distribution where some form of control is required. iPEFX is developing applications that can be utilized within software and systems as an integrated component, specifically defensive and verification seeking systems.

Tethered Node Client (TNC)

TNC is a small application that queries the environment it is installed upon, and through a combination of predetermined policies establishes localized tethers and responds to queries regarding device authority. Once deployed the TNC becomes "locked in place" providing a digital target, one that can be queried and used in validating any connected point to a network with the appropriate command structure.

Device Authentication Client (DAC)

DAC operation requires one or more TNC's to be installed, and when commanded queries the TNC to determine the validity of the target device environment. The DAC is then able to provide clearance prior to executing any data transaction, should negative response be received various shut down events can occur including messaging and error reporting. The severity of any action is only dependent upon each applications requirement.

Data Sequencing Client (DSC)

DSC applies non-linear data obfuscation to each data transaction within a range of sample sizes from below 100 Bytes up to infinity, each action is controlled by a set of parameter records created and maintained by an external Defense Control Application (DCA).

Sequence Policy Client (SPC)

Each DSC operates according to a series of single or multi instance control parameters, providing dynamic sequencing of data responding to external commands and system wide validation techniques. A policy/DSC pair are able to create their own transaction records functioning without referencing external transaction information.

iPEFX will later this year be introducing our newest sequencing application we are calling Squirrel, a technology that produces efficiencies across networks with large data transactions.

Squirrel will become a component of our enterprise level defensive solution, we expect also to provide an independent version for integration with other third party solutions. Additional information on Squirrel or other work is available upon request
